Alissa has been passionate about fitness and healthy living for over 25 years. She began competing nationally in tennis at the age of nine, was an All-American tennis player at the University of California at Berkeley and competed on the Women's Professional Tennis Circuit, achieving a doubles world ranking of #202. She continues to challenge herself and has competed in several triathlons. In 2007, Alissa was the USTA National Women's 40 Hard Court Doubles Finalist.
Alissa's business background includes ten years in finance at such firms as Credit Suisse, a top-tier global investment bank; IPC, a former Goldman Sachs portfolio company serving the financial industry; and Guggenheim Capital, a boutique investment management firm. She combines her knowledge of the demanding business lifestyle with her passion for fitness to motivate busy professionals to achieve their healthy living goals.

Finerman Living was founded by Alissa Finerman, a Certified Life and Wellness Coach and Personal Trainer. Her goal is to help others find the inner drive, motivation and commitment to live the fit and healthy lifestyle they desire. Alissa received her coach training from the New York University Life Coaching program and Wellcoaches Wellness Coaching Program. She is a Schwinn Certified Cycling Instructor and an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
Alissa develops coaching programs and works with individuals, groups and corporations to motivate people to take small healthy steps toward positive change. She also teaches cycling classes at Equinox Fitness Clubs in New York City.
