At the present moment in time, I am speaking to you in nothing (and I mean that quite literally). The temperature at the weather station at Aberaeron is currently 75°F (at 8.24pm local time) and in London today reached a high of 90°F triggering only the second government prescribed heatwave alert since the scheme was introduced in 2005. So you can imagine my suprise when a friend from Palm Springs messaged me this afternoon asking how my walking was going on and when I told him it was abandoned due to heat he said "Heat? 117°F as a high, now that's heat!".

This got me thinking and so over the next few days I shall be asking some of my muscle buds (as I call them) from around the world the following question "How do you train in conditions that resemble an oven?" and with their permission will be posting their replies. According to the latest forecasts, this heatwave in the UK should break by Thursday, but for those areas of the world where heat is an all too common occurance, some of my friends replies might be able to help you in your own training regimes.
