Do low calorie diets really work?
I hate the word “diet”. I mean for one thing, it’s got “die” in it. That’s cheery, isn’t it? And it has connotations of depriving yourself, cutting back on that glorious thing called food, feeling hungry and becoming obsessed with measuring inches and pounds on a daily (or in bad cases even hourly) basis. What’s to like about it? And the most commonly used type of “diet” is a calorie controlled one.
