My new favorite store. This is a store for the serious endurance athlete.  I don’t even think you can work there unless you are heavily involved in running, triathlons, or some similar fitness variant.

Because I was having such a hard time finding proper running shoes, I figured I would check Jackrabbit out.  I had walked in before, and could tell that while I probably would pay a little bit of a premium, it would be well worth it.

When I got there, the place was pretty mobbed; every person working there was busy with at least one customer.  I was patient and finally a rep came over to help me.  He had me jog on a treadmill to determine what kind of runner I was, neutral, supinate or pronate.  Turns out, I’m a neutral runner.  Good to know.

Anyway, the guy brought me out a pair of shoes to get a feel for size, etc, and I told him that I prefer New Balance, since I’m brand loyal.  (Actually, as a side note, my Spanish friend, Juan, once told me that only white, gay guys wear New Balance…Maybe in Juan’s world, but not here on planet Earth…)

Anyway, I selected a pair of 992s; they kind of look like old school NB shoes, but they are good for running.  On my way to the counter, I found , a detergent that is supposed to get the embedded stink from too much sweating out of your clothes.  I definitely have a few t-shirts that always smell bad, even after I wash them. Hopefully WIN will do the trick. 

 I am pretty psyched I found Jackrabbit.  I definitely will be back!
