  • jan.1.2008 was my first day

    Posted by Leahola

I guess like alot of people out there, the first of the year was the day to make life changes, and here i am 19 days later and still going strong.  i have logged everything that i eat and do as per workout everyday on myspace. i think now that i belong to this workout site, i'll do it here also. It'll help if anyone can give me ideas and pointers, and can answer any questions i might have, wish me luck. oh, i'm also taking Trimspa X32, what made me decide that was the fact that after being a member of a gym for almost a year and i hadnt changed weight wise in that time. My one year membership will be up at the end of  april 2008, and by the i hope to be below 200lbs. I started at 241 and am now 227lbs.  I am also taking pictures every week to show the progress and changes in my bodies appearance. I've learnt that the scale isnt always a positive thing to depend on to show progress, so i choose to take photos, and in the end to show how much weight i have lost, how my muscle i have gained, and show a more gorgeous phasic.

Hi! great work! I'm in the same shape as you..I had my son last august and am only 10 lbs lower than my prebirth weight..he's almost 6 months old now and I'm sick of looking at myself like this..I have GOT to get on the ball..maybe we could chat and help keep each other motivated? let me know what you think!

You sound very motivated...thats great! You're right about the scale, it can be very discouraging for people to weigh themselves. If you are strength training and trying to lose weight you may not necessarily see a big change in the scale if any, while your body starts to build muscle and lose fat at the same time. Measurements are good way to track and body comp. See if one of the trainers at your gym can do a quick bodycomp on you, it shouldn't take them long and is a better way to track progress than the scale.

       Good Luck!

Sorry, one more thing...always allow yourself 1 day off a week from working out. Your body needs a day to refuel, rebuild, and rest...

GET OFF TRIMSPA.... you have the right attitude, the tools at your disposal, you CAN do it  (or anything else you put your mind to) without popping the pills!

Just a note. . .if you get a bodycomp done. . .do it right and have the same technician use calipers to measure you.  It is not about the "exact" bodyfat percent ect. . it is about being accurate every time so you see progression if it is there.  If your gym does only bioimpedence, go somewhere else, it is useless.

      Great work!
