I wanted my first time to be special. I knew, living in LA, that there were plenty of schools and resources around from which to choose. But, I preferred to go somewhere exotic. Costa Rica was one of the top choices. I had never even considered Bali, until I took a detour there on my recent trip to Asia.
At the Pro Surf School in Kuta (located near the Hard Rock Resort), I learned to get up and catch my first wave within the first 2.5 hour lesson! The instructors were professional, knowledgeable and very attractive! My classmates were from Australia, Switzerland and England (also quite attractive).
I'm playing with the idea of returning to Bali in August. If I do, I'm definitely calling up my buddies at Pro Surf School.

I heard a rumor that you already went!
Update: It doesn't look like I'll be able to make it back in August... but I hope it will be soon!
