Runners always find dead bodies

I love my Pearl Izumi cycling shoes.  They are pretty old school, ugly, and don't breathe.  I still love them. What I didn't realize is that they are more than just a cycling brand.  And now they are really pushing this angle.

Pearl Izumi's lastest ad campaign's headline reads "Ever notice how it's always runners who find dead bodies?"  It's true!  I have watched a LOT of Law and Order, and I couldn't count how many times a runner or group of runners discovers the crime scene to kick off the episode.

In any case, this is supposed to be pretty controversial and bordering on bad taste.  I have a warped sense of humor so it's pretty routine for me.  More than that, the ad is clearly doing it's job, because I now know that  Pearl Izumi is more than just a cycling brand, and once my 992s wear out in the next few months, I think I might just try out a pair of Pearl Izumi running shoes.

Awesome! I was just talking to PI about their ad campaign and this is exactly the stuff they were describing. Run like an animal is such a vivid mindset - I love it!

Also have tried their new kicks (and Nautilus apparel) which were very well received and for when I did add a good run into my workout, they were a great addition... now I'll add the visual of "run like an animal" and keep on the lookout for dead people...

Enjoy the run!

Yeah I usually look for dead people when I am running too!
