While roughly 38,000 people were gearing up for Sunday's New York City Marathon, another group of elite athletes were already competing the day before for the US Olympic Trials.  One of the favorites to make it to next year's Olympics, Ryan Shay, dropped to the ground around the 5 mile mark and passed away.
